  • DAR Members come from all backgrounds and cultures. Therefore, fees strive to remain affordable.

Membership to DAR requires yearly national and local dues. The chapter registrar can provide updated fee information. Again, fees are minimal.

There are other optional expenses such as donations to projects, DAR clothing, insignia, Spirit Magazine subscription, social events, and conference registration.

  • The Plymouth Chapter DAR is a very “casual” chapter. There is no dress code. Members dress comfortably when attending meetings, providing community service, or attending social events.

  • There are many opportunities to become involved depending on your interest. Some members only attend meetings. Others serve on committees or become leads to service projects. There are no mandatory volunteer hours. We hope that you’ll want to share your gifts and talents to help make our chapter successful.

  • We would be delighted to help you search your ancestral background to see if you are related to a patriot.

Reach out to our Chapter Registrar through the Contact page on this website. Assisting prospective members is our priority.

  • Only women (ages 18 and over) are permitted to join DAR. However, social events may include men and children.

Children (ages 17 and under) are encouraged to join CHILDREN OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (C.A.R.). C.A.R Members can convert their membership to DAR at age 18.

Men are encouraged to join SONS OF THE AMERCIAN REVOLUTION (SAR).
